12/19/2004, Lazy Sunday in Aioi, peach pancakes, Christmas lights

We spent Sunday lounging around Aioi.  For breakfast I made some tasty peach pancakes, served with butter and (real) maple syrup.

Somehow, I thought a close-up might capture how tasty they were.

But, does that really look tasty to you?

We also took a nice walk around Aioi.  Saw the harbor and a Shinto shrine among other things.

Some Japanese people actually do put up a nice show of lights at their houses.  This is just some guy in Aioi who likes the lights.  He was outside adding more as I was taking this picture with my cell phone.
