12/18/2004, AIFA Christmas party, jumbalaya dinner

Akemi came out for a Christmas party in Ako (a small city 15 minutes from Aioi) hosted by the Ako International Friendship Association (AIFA).  There were people from the Wednesday night okonomiyaki gathering there, as well as many people we didn't know.

A couple Santas.  The one on the left was the lively MC.  About the least reserved, demure, modest Japanese girl I've ever met.  They were both a ton of fun.

They had some fun activities, too.  In this one, I'm doing a role play.  I'm playing the part of an English teacher.

After the party, we took a little walk around Ako and did some shopping.  We headed back and made New Orleans-style Shrimp and Ham Jumbalaya.  It was really tasty!

Akemi is more/less used to me taking pictures everytime we sit down for dinner.

After dinner, we watched part of the movie "Monsters, Inc.".
