12/12/2004, A stop in Tully's in Osaka

On Sunday, Akemi and I did more Christmas shopping in Osaka.  Afterward, we stopped in a Tully's.  Everyone here knows I hate Starbucks.  Well, as we're sitting in there, enjoying our coffee, an American (apparently) guy in his 50's (apparently) says in English something like, "This coffee's okay, but it's just not the same as Starbucks," making me livid with anger.  No good reason to be angry, I guess.  Just ticked me off.

Anyway, we did have a very nice, tasty cup of coffee.  Akemi had a muffin.  I got some ice cream to go with it.

Somehow, Akemi has gotten totally used to me taking pictures of my food and drink everywhere we go.  She doesn't read this web site much, but she is surely supportive of the endeavor.
