9/17/2005, Mexican food, finally!

I'm not sure why, but I've been hankering for food from home lately.  All kinds of stuff.  I made a huge list the other day.  High on that list was some decent Mexican food.  Not Taco Bell.  Like some chicken molé.

Bless her heart, Akemi found me a fine Mexican restaurant right in Osaka.  I was thrilled.  So, I took pictures of our food to remember the thrill and jog my memory next time I'm craving it.

thumbnailThe ambiance at the restaurant, which is located just outside America-mura in the Shinsaibashi neighborhood of Osaka.  Although there are Japanese people in this picture, this place actually attracts a huge number of foreigners.  America-mura, despite the name, is still made up of 97% Japanese people.  But, the people at this restaurant said it's generally about half foreigners.  At one point while we were there, there were about 7 foreigners and 6 Japanese people in the restaurant.
