5/11/2005, Mom trip day 15: Returning to Seattle
We woke up and scurried off to Osaka. We got lunch in at Umeda station in a department store basement food area. These things are big in Japan. In the basement of most department stores, there's a huge food court with lots of delicious food at reasonable prices. We got lunch boxes, pastries from a bakery, meat balls, and raw salmon salad. We ate on the way to the train.
At the airport, it was a bittersweet goodbye. We had a really nice time together. My mom is a very important person to me. I was sorry to see her go. And, I know she was sorry to go. But, I also know she had a fantastic time in Japan and loves Japan very much.
