3/5/2005, Tennoji Park in Osaka with Akemi

Had a relaxed day with Akemi.  The highlight of the day was a trip to Tennoji, a huge park in Osaka.  I think there's a zoo and maybe a temple attached, but we didn't visit those places.  We just went to the park part of it.  It was vast.  Half of it felt like a genuine Japanese garden.  Half of it felt like a nice, well-maintained city park, maybe a little like the Locks in Seattle.

I took a handful of pictures, just to remember what the place feels like.  Nothing momentous.

We also met up with Akemi's good friend Yukiko.  After a small supper, we headed for my favorite ice cream shop in the world - the Haägen Dazs cafe in the Shinsaibashi area of Osaka.  As always, I took pictures of the ice cream we ate.
