1/10/2005, Day in Osaka with Akemi, last day before school starts

I spent my last day before school starts with Akemi in Osaka. We went out to dinner with some friends of hers. Of note about the dinner was the cost of her cranberry juice: ¥800 (≈$8.00). Yikes! My large Guiness beer was only slightly more.

I took some nice pictures of her in the Umeda area of Osaka. She is wearing the hat, gloves, and scarf my mom sent her for Christmas.

I caught a late train back to Aioi, the night before school started.

I saw this poster for various flavors of soft serve ice cream offered on the platform at the train station. I took this with my cell phone and the poster was behind a window, so it doesn't look very good, but I wanted to remember. Among other things, they are selling green tea ice cream and Hokkaido melon ice cream. (Hokkaido is a region of Japan known for melons, among other good things.)
