1/8/2005, Tokyo day 2

I woke up at Akemi's sister's home.  In the morning, I took some pictures of their family.  I feel like I should get their permission before I post them here, mainly since people are sometimes very protective when their kids are involved.  Maybe later.

They were kind enough to drive me about 30 minutes to the Shinjuku district in the heart of Tokyo.  I killed time around the outside of the big park in Shinjuku.

I took this picture of myself with my cell phone at the park and sent it to my mom, just before calling her.

I had this wonderful meal at Wendy's in Shinjuku.

In the evening, I met up with a friend from Tokyo who asked not to be named or pictured here.  She is somebody who studied at my university a long time ago and was good friends with my first conversation partner who is also living in Japan now.  She and I went out for dinner at a little bar in Shinjuku owned by a friend.  The place is called "Sarada Bah" or "Salad Bar".

I stayed the night at the Tokyo International Youth Hostel in the Iidabashi district.  It is very clean and nice.
