3/7/2006, Mr. Minato's new car

Mr. Minato is the owner of Minato-ya okonomiyaki shop and a very good friend.  He used to own an SUV that ran on diesel.  Recently, the government made it illegal for regular people to drive diesel vehicles.  Basically, they said they would deny registration to them starting this year.  So, he had to go out and buy something that ran on regular gasoline.

Here's Mr. Minato and Nate next to his new car, a minivan.  It's some kind of Honda.  The sliding door closes partially automatically.

This evening, we went to Akane-no-yu, our favorite public bath.  As usual, we stopped for dinner before the bath.  Mr. Minato's mother and his wife's mother both came along with us, so we went to an extra good conveyor belt sushi place.  This is my very favorite kind of sushi.  It's a raw scallop over rice with a little wasabi in between.  It tastes very fresh.
