1/5/2006, Linn trip: departure, picture of flowers for Akemi

In the morning, Linn and I went to the nuclear power information center (science museum) and then to a ramen restaurant, but we had to be quick.  In the end, we had to literally run to get him on a train to catch his plane on time.  He left Japan for his home in Colorado in the early evening.  This was taken at the Namba Nankai train station in Osaka.

I left some flowers for Akemi.  I thought they were rather interesting looking, so I took a picture.  The pink ones are, of course, snapdragons.  The bigger things are a special ornamental cabbage that is popular in Japan as a New Year's decoration.
