3/28/2005, China trip day 5: Hiking in the mountains on the edge of Hangzhou

David and I went for a hike in the mountains behind the school where he lives.  Hangzhou is cool because there around mountains that extend right into the city, though not the city center.  There are many good hikes.

Early on, we encountered this temple up in the mountains.  There's not really anything around it.

Another view of the same temple.  We went up to the entrance.  There were monks inside praying.  We were invited to go inside and pray, but we declined.
