10/16/2004, A short trip to Kobe

I made a short trip to Kobe to see my old friend, Mori.  He is a friend of Chika.  Chika was my first conversation partner in Seattle.  Mori has an interesting background.  He is a Japanese citizen.  He grew up in Taiwan, but attended an English (American?) school.  So, his first language is English.  He lived in the United States for a while.  Finally, he went back to Japan and studied Japanese intensively.  Now, he works for a technology company.  His degree is in computer science.

I got a sandwich at the local Subway shop in Sannomiya (part of Kobe).  ¥700 (≈$7) for a 30 centimeter (foot-long) tuna sandwich with pesto.
